I have received many mails regarding thinking, feeling and action. How our thinking, feeling and action lead to good or bad stress. Here I try to simplify a complex matter. There are three types of living as follows,
1. your life is driven by chance 
2. your life is driven by choice
3. your life is driven by confusion

          3 ‘C’

Now you check it how you are driven by your life in your personal interpersonal and work domain. Make a chart and work out on your own.

The Number One Way to Destress Yourself

No matter what you are going through, no matter what kind of stress you have, the number one way to Destress Yourself is to learn the art of quieting your mind and praying to Heavenly Father.

When we pray to Heavenly Father, in Faith, you will receive the blessing and comfort that you need.  Maybe not what you want exactly but what you need. 

I offer a plea that each of us will seek to live closer to the Lord and to commune with Him more frequently and with increased faith.

Pray for wisdom and understanding as you walk the difficult paths of your lives. If you are determined to do foolish and imprudent things, I think the Lord will not prevent you. But if you seek His wisdom and follow the counsel of the impressions that come to you, I am confident that you will be blessed.

Let us be a prayerful people. Let us bring up our children “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Enos 1:1). May the blessings of heaven deservedly rest upon you. In the words of Deuteronomy, “And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul” (Deut. 10:12). Be assured, my dear brothers and sisters, that “He, watching over Israel, slumbers not, nor sleeps” (Felix Mendelssohn, Elijah).

For the blessings of heaven to rest upon you I humbly pray as I express to you my love for each of you. Thank you for your great kindness to me and your great faithfulness and energy in moving forward the work of the Almighty, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.”

How to Destress Yourself in a Minute

There have been many conversations about the current global stress level and sometimes this causes minor anxiety among certain persons. It is my wish to share a way that we can destress ourselves in about a minute in order to help with minor anxiety levels. The reason it is so important to have the knowledge of and ability to practice this exercise is because we can use it at anytime and anywhere when we are feeling a little nervous, worried, or concerned. When we are feeling nervous, worried, or concerned, with this exercise, and with a little practice, we can change our feelings immediately to calmness, certainty, and trust.

The best way to practice this exercise is when you are at home, alone, and in an uninterrupted environment. After training one self with this exercise it should very easily become a habit that can be performed at any time and at any place.

First, find yourself sitting upright and relaxed, quiet inside your mind and body. Second, inhale slowly, filling your lungs to full capacity, like balloons. Third, hold your inhalation for three seconds and attempt to feel your heartbeat. Fourth, exhale, imagining yourself releasing all of the tension out of your body as you breathe out. In other words, exhale and feel your entire body and mind relax. Do this three times. Finally, sit for a moment and see if you can sense the calmness, certainty, and trust.

When we do this exercise we relax and take our thoughts, which might be racing due to stress, out of our head and our focus into relaxation and stillness. This can be done at anytime and anywhere but the most desirable place to begin practicing would be at home when alone. Make this a regular practice and you will notice your ability to Destress Yourself immediately.

Stress Relief through Destressing Yourself

Destress Yourself for the Holidays

Destress Yourself for the Holidays with a great attitude and preparedness.

Attitude is everything.  If you are excited about the Holidays then you will have excitement.  If you dread the Holidays then you will have a hard time. 

 

If you have the right attitude and you are prepared you will have a perfect holiday.  Be prepared by taking care of yourself, managing your activities, managing your money, and ask for help when needed.

Take care of yourself by eating right, exercising, and getting plenty of rest.

Manage your activities by making a list of all the things you have to do, prioritize the list, then fill your calendar with the tasks scheduled.

Manage your money by making a list of all the things you have to buy and people you have to buy for, decide how much money you want to spend for the total, then decide how much you will spend on each person and item, and budget accordingly.

Ask for help from your family when you have a lot to do.  Delegate your tasks.  Ask for help with meals if you are hosting.  Have guests bring their favorite dish or desert.  They will love to, I know I do when I visit family.

Destress Yourself with Family and Friends

A great way to destress yourself from work or from life in general is to call on friends or family.  Pick someone you truly enjoy being with and call them up, have a conversation, or ask them to get together. 

You can have fun by just enjoying the person you are talking to, enjoying the person you are with, or enjoying whatever you are doing.  Make it a conscious effort to leave your stress or problems behind and enjoy the moment you are in.

Don’t forget to have fun and be playful because it is in your nature.

Destress Yourself by Having Fun

Destress Yourself by Having Fun.

Are you having fun yet?  When is the last time you had fun or a good belly laugh? 

One of the things I love to do is shoot hoop.  I will play basketball with anyone who will play.  It is fun and I have a great time.  Another thing I love to do is hike in the forest with my dogs.  I am very lucky because I live in the forest. 

Search for your fun and laughter.  Seek it everyday because that is what makes life worth living for, well that and love.

Spend time and hang out with your friends and family and I guarantee that you will feel destressed


Don’t forget to have fun and be playful because it is in your nature.

It is Friday! Yeah! Now you can take a break from work stress. How do you take a break from job stress? Well, you leave your work at work and enjoy your weekend. If you take workplace stress home you may cause yourself anxiety or depression. If you are having a hard time leaving your stress at work then you may want to learn relaxation techniques or meditation to relieve your stress.
